Marine Corps military hospital, unspecified location. Morning of a sunny day. Two young soldiers, one white and the other Hispanic, share a hospital room on two beds side by side and separated only by a curtain for privacy. They do not see each other but talk to each other. Jason, the Hispanic soldier, wakes up first and calls to his colleague, urging him to get a move on: the big day has arrived: they are going home. After so many tribulations and after having had a hard time, the troubles are finally all behind them, and both are happy and relieved. They will return to their homeland, to their projects that have remained there in limbo, to their families and loved ones awaiting their return. As the two Marines chat about the future, Janet, a beautiful nurse who looks after them lovingly and washes them, absorbed in her thoughts and the music she listens to from her earphones, comes in. Jason looks at her with a loving eye, she really is a stunner, even though she stands very much on her own…. After finishing her work Janet leaves the room: the two soldiers decide to take one last nap before leaving…
